Cojali platform addresses OEM cybersecurity challenges
10 July 2025

Cojali is assisting commercial vehicle manufacturers with new cybersecurity regulations by offering its Cojali Digital Hub platform, a solution that provides a Software Update and Management System (SUMS) to comply with UNECE R156 regulations in effect for European Union (EU) member countries, Japan and South Korea.
The adaptable, modular, agnostic and manufacturer-to-manufacturer digital solution is capable of integrating with multiple component suppliers in the sector through automated and secure processes, the company stated. It is meant to simplify and ensure compliance with current regulations, and enable what Cojali describes as an “ecosystem of services with high added value” that can be used to generate new business opportunities.
The Cojali Digital Hub platform enables centralized management of software update packages from the manufacturing stage to aftersales operations. Remote over-the-air (OTA) software updates and integration with diagnostics and connectivity solutions makes it possible to enhance the efficiency of the manufacturer’s operations, improve the end customer experience and strengthen loyalty in a fully cyber-protected, manufacturer-owned environment, Cojali stated.
The Cojali Digital Hub enables interoperability with SUMS platforms developed by system manufacturers (Tier 1) to allow its integration with vehicle manufacturers.
Cojali cited its strategic partnership with Knorr-Bremse, a specialist in braking systems and safety technologies that has developed the new SUMS (iTrailer) platform for its trailer-mounted systems. This collaboration is said to enhance the integration of products that are compliant with cybersecurity regulations as well as ready to operate in a connected, intelligent and future-oriented environment.
