EIMA 2024: MTA to present its latest antenna tech

MTA is set to show its new range of wireless communications technology for the agricultural industry at EIMA 2024. The trade show will be held at Fiere Bologna, 6-10 November.

Earlier this year, MTA acquired the business unit of Calearo Antenne SpA. Products developed by the company feature reception systems capable of optimizing signals by eliminating electromagnetic interference generated either by the vehicle or in the surrounding environment.

The lineup includes a series of both custom and off-the-shelf antenna solutions capable of supporting the connectivity needs of modern agricultural vehicles.

For the reception of analog (FM/AM) and digital (DAB) signals, MTA offers a series of choices for the exterior of the vehicle, including the Flexi, Foil and Shark models.

The Flexi is offered in a range of shapes and sizes which share a compact base and flexible mast. The geometry and materials make them particularly suitable for use in heavy vehicles. An AM/FM-DAB splitter supports reception of analog and digital signals.

Foil antennas are suitable for analog and digital signals. These are very versatile, in that they can be positioned in various locations across the vehicle, including behind bumpers or a section of plastic or fibreglass bodywork.

The Shark antennas are distinguished by their fin-style shape. These modular antennas deliver high-quality reception of analog and digital radio signals. These include GNSS remote positioning and control, 2G through 5G data exchange and duel-band wifi. All are features of the modern ‘smart farm’.

Models intended for fitting within the vehicle include the Lunex Evolution, for 2G through 5G signals and GNSS comms. The antennae can be mounted to the interior using a magnetic or adhesive mount. Additionally, there is the Navi Small. Intended for receiving GPD signals, this can be mounted to the interior using an adhesive base.

All antennae produced by MTA are built in Italy to the highest standards using the latest manufacturing processes.
