JLG expands rotating telehandler line

JLG Industries has expanded its rotating telehandler lineup with the launch of the new R13100 model, advancing the product range it first introduced in North America through a partnership with Italian OEM Dieci in 2022.

Replacing the R11100 at the top of the range, the new R13100 offers a 13,200-pound capacity and 97-foot maximum lift height. It joins the R1370 and R1385 models on a shared base platform to simplify fleet operation and maintenance. The R1370 uses a 134-hp engine, while the R1385 and R13100 feature 168-hp engines paired with a 2-speed hydrostatic transmission for smoother travel over uneven terrain.

“JLG’s rotating telehandler line is built for today’s challenging jobsites, where space is limited, loads are heavy and productivity is paramount,” said Catherine Lee, product manager for telehandlers at JLG. “With the addition of the new R13100 model, enhanced operator-focused features and standard ClearSky Smart Fleet connectivity, this line offers our customers the versatility, power and confidence they need to get the job done efficiently and safely.”

Updated technology and operator features

All JLG rotating telehandlers now include ClearSky Smart Fleet, the company’s two-way fleet management and communication platform. Other updates include a redesigned counterweight with integrated lights, new joystick and remote-control mounts inside the cab, and compatibility with the Woodcracker CS750 Smart grip saw attachment for tree-handling applications.

Each model incorporates Automatic Attachment Recognition, Load Management Information System and Load Stability Indication technologies — tools that help operators remain within safe load limits and receive real-time alerts when approaching stability thresholds.

With 360-degree rotation, a wide range of attachments and optional hydraulic couplers, JLG’s rotating telehandlers can serve as material handlers, crane alternatives or mobile elevating work platforms. Remote boom control comes standard across the lineup, allowing operators to maneuver loads from outside the cab for greater visibility and precision.

“Congested jobsites present fierce challenges — navigating tight spaces, lifting heavy loads and reaching extreme heights. That’s where JLG rotating telehandlers provide a distinct advantage,” Lee said. “From maneuvering in crowded environments to lifting and loading in any direction, these machines truly revolutionize productivity on modern work sites.”

JLG announced it would enter the rotating telehandler market in late 2021 through its partnership with Dieci. The company officially launched three models for the North American market in 2022, the R1370, R1385 and R11100.

The latest R13100 model, JLG said, reflects growing customer demand for high-reach versatility across masonry, roofing, demolition, cladding and renovation work.
