Chinese machine and truck manufacturer XCMG presented four new truck models at the recent Fenetran 2024, the biennial trade show reported to be the largest exposition supporting the transport sector in South America.

At the show in Sao Paulo, Brazil, XCMG unveiled the E3-10T, E7-18T and E7-80T zero-emission battery-electric trucks and the gas-fuelled P9-560G model.

The E3-10T is fitted with 200 kW (270 hp) electric motor and a two-speed AMT transmission which takes power from a 107 kW LFP battery pack. The model has both gross operating weight (GVW) and max towing load capacity of 10,000 kg.

At the other end of the scale, the E7-80T features a 550 kW (747 hp) electric motor paired with a four-speed AMT transmission. Power comes from 400 kW of LFP battery packs. Maximum GVW is 23,000 kg, while trailer capacity can reach 80,000 kg.

The P9-560G 6x4 uses a six-cylinder 14.6-litre LNG IC engine which produces 412 kW (560 hp) at 1700 rpm. The model offers a fuel capacity of 1350 litres. Using a 12-speed transmission, additional features include a retarder from ZF. GVW and trailer capacity are the same as the E7-80T.

XCMG has been operating in Brazil for 24 years, having first imported its ZL30G loader in 2000. In 2014, the company established its production plant in Pouso Alegre, Minas Gerais state. The 140,000 square metre site now has an annual production capacity in excess of 10,000 units.
