Compressor manufacturer Rotair has launched the MDVN30 Eco5, a compact, diesel-powered screw compressor designed for construction, pneumatic tool operations, and small-scale blasting projects.

Set to debut at Bauma next week, the MDVN30 Eco5 delivers up to 3,000 Lpm of compressed air, with a free air delivery of 2,950 Lpm (94 cfm) at 7 bar (102 psi).

Powered by a fuel-efficient Stage V diesel engine to support job site operations, the unit includes a pneumatic control system that adjusts engine speed based on air demand, helping to manage fuel consumption while maintaining output.

The electro-galvanized body and painting process are designed to improve corrosion resistance, the company said, while Its compact and lightweight design facilitates transport and maneuverability across different work sites.

Other features include spin-on type filters for easier replacements, along with independent air and oil filters for both the compressor unit and engine.

An oversized air-oil separator supports separation efficiency, while a dual cooling system, with a combined radiator supporting both compressor oil and engine cooling, enables operation in ambient temperatures ranging from -10°C (14°F) to 48°C (118°F).

Giuseppe Donadio, managing director of Rotair, said, “The MDVN30 Eco5 is more than just a compressor—it’s a testament to our commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions that empower industries to perform at their best.

“Responding to our customers’ and market demand, this new air compressor is the smart, cost-effective choice for companies seeking a dependable diesel-driven compressor with just that extra flow at 3000 Lpm.”

Alex Persyn, director of product management, added, “”The MDVN30 Eco5 is designed with efficiency and reliability at its core. Our advanced pneumatic control system optimises fuel consumption by dynamically adjusting engine speed to match air demand, ensuring maximum performance with minimal waste.

“Additionally, the integration of high-efficiency filtration and a robust cooling system enhances durability, making it a dependable solution for rigorous operations in construction, and beyond.”

The MDVN30 Eco5 follows the MDVN52 Eco5, launched in December 2024, which features a 42kW Hatz Stage V diesel engine and delivers 5,200 Lpm at 7 bar and up to 3,100 Lpm at 14 bar.
